There are many organisations and groups who are committed to nurturing the development of young people: their values, key skills and personal attributes. This is a space to establish a 'Community of Interest'; highlighting some of these organisations and giving examples of the work being done in this area. Profiles are listed in the categories of ‘education’, ‘community’, ‘business and enterprise’ and ‘public sector’. If you would like your work featured in this space please get in touch with us at communications@character-scotland.org.uk.

Ocean Youth Trust Scotland (OYT Scotland) have successfully managed to secure a £375,000 funding award from the Scottish Government's "CashBack for Communities" scheme, allowing them to impact on the lives of even more young people in Scotland for another two years.

Gary Visits Ayrshire College's HIVE

Written by | Wednesday, 18 March 2015

In November 2014, Executive Officer, Gary Walsh, visited the HIVE (Hope, Inspiration and Vision in Education) department at Ayrshire College and ran some workshops with the students exploring character and values. We have collated some photos from the event.

Our Character, Culture and Values Conference welcomed individuals and organisations from all backgrounds and of all ages to come together and discuss character and values-based education. One of our partners, Keep Scotland Beautiful, had six eager, young pupils from Edinburgh and Glasgow schools report on, and facilitate a workshop for delegates.
