How to Develop Character

Written by  Tuesday, 27 October 2015 09:03

The development of character has been at the centre of the Outward Bound Trust's core purpose for decades according to Scottish Director Martin Davidson.

A recent article featured in the Scotsman highlights how the Trust focusses on character development in the work they do. Highlighted in their research into what business and industry need of our young people, they found that 61% of the organisations report that school leavers lack the self-management skills/resilience they need to succeed in the workplace; 52% believed that they do not have the required communication skills; and 33% reported that they do not have the appropriate attitude towards work.
