Inspire Aspire: GCIM Launch

Character Scotland recently visited Craigie High School in Dundee to deliver a session on the new Inspire Aspire: Global Citizens in the Making programme to around 130 staff and pupils.

24 year-old Stephanie Stevens, former nurse at Kirkcaldy's Victoria Hospital is inviting people to get fighting fit and make some money for charity, Enliven Mama Africa in Cupar. Stephanie says, "They see us as a gift from God."

"Youth have far too long been the lost demographic." 

Play Scotland have launched a new campaign, "4 Asks for Play" which requests investment into play time for children including regular road closures in residential areas and providing staff provision for play initiatives.

Today is the International Day of Happiness, organised by ‘Action for Happiness’ and celebrates positive feelings and happiness around the globe – the aim is to get out there, spread a smile or two, some kind words and just celebrate being happy and building a happier world.

Research has shown that people believe the internet has a more positive influence on education and personal relationships, but a bad influence on our morality and on politics.
